Paper Backed — 150cm wide, sold per metre

150cm wide bubble wrap with a Kraft paper laminate on one side. The paper layer adds two key benefits: it’s tear-resistant (won’t puncture as easily as plain bubble wrap) and the paper surface won’t scratch polished or painted surfaces. Recommended for timber furniture, lacquered finishes, stainless steel appliances, glass tabletops, and anything where direct plastic contact could leave marks or condensation. Sold by the metre.

How Much Bubble Wrap Do You Need?

Glassware & ceramics — plan on 0.5–1m of 50cm wrap per item. A box of 12 glasses typically uses 6–8m.

Plates — wrap individually and stack on edge. Budget around 0.5m of 50cm wrap per plate.

Artwork & mirrors — use 150cm wide wrap and cover front and back. Measure the perimeter and add 30% for overlap and securing.

Large furniture — use 150cm wide wrap and work in panels. A standard 2-door wardrobe typically needs 6–8m of 150cm wide wrap to cover all surfaces.
