Wine Storage is a service provided by a limited number of self storage facilities around Australia. It involves the secure and proper storage of bottled wine in optimum temperature and humidity conditions. The wine is stored in secure spaces and lockers of various sizes by customers who rent them on a monthly basis for use as their own private storage space. Electronic Pin Code access provides additional security for favourites.

The type of wine stored varies from your everyday wine to premium wine stored for long term investment purposes. Wine Storage is utilised by Moms and Dads who have a few cases under the stairs, the small to medium investor with a private collection, right up the commercial customer storing large quantities for retail purposes, such as a restaurant or bottle shop. Wine Storage Conditions

At Big Box Self Storage we care about our customers possessions and we realise the importance of storing wine in optimum conditions. Temperature stability is a key factor for wine storage and the temperature should not be too cold as this will hamper the development of your wine. Conversely, If the temperature is too hot it will cause your wine to develop too quickly. Our climate controlled system ensures that the wine room's temperature is stable.    

Humidity should be strictly controlled with an acceptable range being between 55% and 80%    

Wine Storage U-Store

A customer may rent one wine locker / space or several spaces depending on their needs. Once the customer has rented the storage space, they can store come and view their wine during business hours 7 days a week. To make it easy we have a variety of wine storage spaces ranging from small lockers for under $40 a month right up to quater garage, walk in storage units. 

Wine Storage U-Lock

Once a customer rents a space they will need to purchase a special high security lock to lock their space, these need be purchased from Big Box Self Storage and will provide additional security for your wine. Boxes and wrapping materials 

Wine Storage U-Keep the Key

Once your security lock is on the storage space you are the only one who retains the key, no one else will have access to your storage space unless they are authorised by you the storer, and they have the electronic pin code and key.

Wine Storage U-Come and Go

Once you have placed your wine into your storage space you can come and go as often as you like. Access to a customer’s storage space is unlimited and free and is subject to the general hours of access for the property.

The minimum period that you must renew your agreement for is one month. So if you do not know how long you need storage for then this is not a  problem, you simply renew your agreement on a month to month basis.
